Functions of DASB

DASB Functions

The Basic Functions of District Armed Services Board (DASB) are as under:-

1. Facilitate welfare of Ex-Servicemen.
2. Maintenance of complete and updated digitized data of Ex-Servicemen / Widows.
3. Processing Pension related cases of Ex-Servicemen / Widows / Next of Kin (NOKs).
4. Verification of documents:-
   a. Ex-Servicemen / Widows / Next of Kin (NoKs).
   b. Application of serving pers for discharge / posting on compassionate grounds.
   c. Reservists home address on required basis.
   d. Verification of Nikah Namas, Rukhsati Certificates / Divorce Certificates of serving personnel of tri services.
   e. Verification of benevolent fund cases.
   f. Ground check / verification of financial assistance cases.
5. Processing of Petitions / Complaints to concerned Govt Departments / Services Headquarters (HQs).
6. Alleviation of distress to Ex-Servicemen:-
   a. Financial assistance from Services Headquarters (HQs) / Regimental Centres / Govt Agencies.
   b. Assist in Civil Matters / Court Cases / Police Cases (where applicable) through concerned HQs.
   c. Facilitation in availability of medical treatment through Fauji Foundation (FF) Hospitals.
7. Processing of Ex-Servicemen applications for:-
   a. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) of DHA Plots for sale.
   b. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for going abroad for job.
   c. Processing of stipend / Scholarship / Admission cases to Welfare and Rehablitation Directorate (W&R Dte) / Fauji Foundation / Shaheen Foundation / Bahria Foundation.
   d. Processing of applications for publication of Part II Orders regarding marriage, divorce, death of wife / husband and birth / death of children after retirement.
   e. Processing of applications for issuance of duplicate discharge certificate / matters related to arrears of commuted Pension, Disability, Financial Assistance and handing it over to Ex-Servicemen on receipt from the concerned Regtl Centres.
   f. Processing of applications for restoration of commuted portion of pension.
   g. Allotment of Agriculture Land.
   h. Arms / Driving Licenses renewal cases.
8. Monitoring and reporting of activities of Ex-Servicemen Associations in Area of Responsibility (AOR).
9. Provision / Management of Loan (MCS Scheme).
10. Maintain close & effective liaison for employment of Ex-Servicemen with Govt Departments / Private Industries / Welfare Bodies & Organizations.
11. Facilitate Rehabilitation & Re-employment of Ex-Servicemen.
12. Provision of affordable boarding / lodging facilities to Veterans (All Ranks) for transit in the form of Veterans Messes.
13. Facilities Skill Training including Training Courses, Vocational Training Programme, Job Counseling & Self-Employment for Ex-Servicemen in Fauji Foundation / Shaheen / Bahria Training Institutes & Provincial TEVTA setups.
14. Convey authentic info to the veterans about time to time Welfare and Rehabilitative taken for all ranks by Services HQs.
15. Facilitation of serving Armed Forces Personnel in their civil capacity through coord with District administration.
16. Holding of Ex-Servicemen’s rallies / combined forces flag days.
17. Welfare poster, pamphlets, publications and information notes etc, for Ex-Servicemen.
18. Promote civil and military relations.
19. Handing over of cheques / bank drafts to Ex-Servicemen on acct of commutation of pension, Gp Insurance and Fin Aid / Marriage Grant etc.
20. No Objection Certificate (NOC) to NADRA from Regt / Corps for amdt in date of birth in CNIC of Ex-Servicemen according to discharge certificates.
